I’m Vanessa Ng, a Seattle-based Product Designer focused on human-centered digital design and thoughtful implementation.
A little about me:
I approach design as a collaborative practice grounded in research and real user needs. My process centers on learning from diverse perspectives - through testing, feedback, and iteration - to build experiences where people feel genuinely understood.
Most recently, I completed my AI for UX design and product design training through Designlab and am currently looking for my first role in the field. I care about moving beyond aesthetics to solve tangible problems and advocate for the people actually using what we build.
I'm drawn to teams that value collaboration, intentional critique, and continuous learning. I thrive in environments where design is a conversation, not a final deliverable.
Away from the screen:
When I’m not busy pushing pixels in a Figma file, I’m naturally drawn to things that give me a chance to explore, learn, and follow my curiosity. I’m an avid reader and currently seven books deep down the Dungeon Crawler Carl rabbit hole, IYKYK. I’m also learning Portuguese on Duolingo, which has been a fun way to challenge myself and pick up something completely outside of my usual routine.
More recently, I’ve gotten into hiking and digital photography, two hobbies that have encouraged me to slow down, get outside, and pay closer attention to my surroundings. Whether I’m discovering a new trail, framing a photo, learning a new phrase, or getting lost in a good book, I’m always looking for new perspectives and small details that spark curiosity. Those experiences often find their way back into how I think about design, keeping me observant, open-minded, and excited to keep learning.
