The Challenge
Booking transportation has become incredibly simple - but deciding where to go, what to do, and how to plan the rest of the trip often isn't.
Today's travelers frequently jump between travel blogs, social media, review platforms, and booking websites before they feel confident enough to make a decision. The abundance of information can quickly turn excitement into decision fatigue.
Starting from a blank canvas, I designed Wayfarer's homepage to create a more inspiring first impression - one that encourages exploration while helping users discover destinations through a clear visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and engaging content.
The objective was to create a homepage that balances inspiration with usability, making it easy for travelers to imagine their next adventure without feeling overwhelmed.
Design Direction
Adventurous • Welcoming • Inspiring
Wayfarer's visual identity was built around the feeling of discovering somewhere new.
A palette of calming blues paired with warm neutral tones communicates trust, openness, and exploration. Typography, color, and spacing work together to create a modern interface that feels approachable, visually engaging, and easy to navigate.
Every design decision was intended to support a single goal: helping users move seamlessly from inspiration to action.

What I Learned
Designing with Intent
This project strengthened my ability to translate an abstract design brief into a polished interface with a clear user experience. Working from concept through high-fidelity designs reinforced the importance of designing every element with purpose - not only for aesthetics, but also for usability and clarity.
Building for Consistency
Creating a reusable grid system, component library, and consistent visual language improved both the scalability and maintainability of the design. It also deepened my understanding of how thoughtful design systems contribute to more efficient product development.
Next Steps
Validate through User Testing
The next phase would focus on usability testing with prospective travelers to evaluate whether users can quickly discover destinations, navigate the homepage, and identify primary calls to action. Testing would help answer an important question: “Can users easily find inspiration for their next trip?”
